What child doesn't like to imagine, build, and create? I want to empower my students by using a variety of STEM products. Children will be able to plan their creations, build, and watch them come to life by using STEM blocks and shapes. There is a great need for computer science college graduates, this is why starting early by exposing my young learners to the world of coding and computer science is vital. Dash Robot would help foster a love for computer science and be an engaging way to use coding in the classroom. My students would have fun while using critical thinking skills to code Dash to carry out a variety of tasks. Most of my students are tactile learners and enjoy learning by doing. Osmo would meet the needs of my tactile kiddos who need the hands-on experience to comprehend coding. In my classroom kids would get to create an awbie and make codes to make him move using the Osmo awbie game. The love for music is "real" in my classroom but my students only get to attend music class once a week, through the use of coding jam students can create their own music in our classroom. Music class could now be five days a week. I want to create an environment for students to "play," explore, and create. An environment where young learners can once again be creative, curious, imaginative, and energetic about the world of science and engineering. I can't wait to develop future leaders in the field of computer science.
