My first grade students are full of energy and are highly motivated. They are enthusiastic about learning and love to explore the world around them. All of my students come from low social economic backgrounds and are faced with many difficult challenges. They attend a public K-5 school that has made great academic gains over the past years. To my students, school is a safe place where they can be free to explore and learn.
