My students attend school in Dunlap, Illinois. Unfortunately, most of my students read at levels far below their grade level. This limits the books they are able to read at their age and interest level. Most of them do not have the opportunity to explore new places, so books are sometimes their only avenue. This year we have already read "The Last Safe House", a book about The Underground Railroad. Students are hungering to read about the Civil Rights.
