Gross motor activities in early childhood are imperative to their growth and development. Providing them with opportunities to explore and move nurtures their minds and social-emotional growth. The supplies that are needed will allow children the opportunity to express themselves creatively, which they may not otherwise get. There are as many as 30 children in the outdoor play area at a time. As of right now there aren't any age-appropriate playground equipment, other than providing children with balls, jump ropes, bubbles or organized games such as duck duck goose. Children need a variety of options to enhance their development.
