I am lucky to teach a class of enthusiastic, imaginative and joyful learners. I teach in a 2nd grade class in an urban area in Washington State. More than half of my students speak English as a second language and there are five different language groups represented in our class. Our school is over 90% low income. My students are active learners who do best when given a chance to experience learning hands-on.
