This laptop is essential for our robotics team. The laptop we have was donated as a part of our original rookie equipment kit. It is very small and is highly under-powered for the software we are using today. The students are having difficulty keeping our current laptop functioning. Also, programming on our current laptop has become problematic as the RAM is insufficient to run the compiler program as well as any other programs we need as information resources. The students have been adapting to our current laptop as well as can be expected, but this past season the problems became too much for their ingenuity to overcome. With this new laptop, I hope the students will not have to worry about connectivity, programming, or resource issues for several years to come.
