My students within my class all have special needs. We are in a public school in the state of NY. They are enrolled in a life skills programs and have difficulty learning as the typical learner. Many have speech delays and processing disorders. All 10 students have an IEP and disabilities range from other health impaired, down-syndrome, autism, and multiple disabilities. An iPad would help engage the students in a motivating but educational way. As the standards for education keep increasing, the use of technology will help these students make strides towards building that bridge to learn the academics that they need too.
