These materials will expand my students' vocabulary and promote better communication with peer and school community. By manipulating concrete objects SDW students engage ALL their senses and have better chances to retain and use English Language vocabulary. Extensive vocabulary lays a foundation for reading and listening comprehension. It will boost my students' understanding and appreciation of written and spoken language. As a long term goal, it will promote their future love for reading. Young students will expand their language skills by using newly learned vocabulary by writing simple and complex stories.
