The pea pod and pressure vest provide a steady and soothing stimulation to the body and will be used to help keep some of my students from becoming overly anxious. Without these tools, it is more difficult for the student to avoid elevated behaviors which remove the student's focus from school environments and lead to negative attention seeking to help calm their agitated states of mind. The fidget toys such as balls and necklaces allow the students' bodies to interact with a steady, predictable, and benign stimulus so that they can focus their minds on the social and educational environments at-hand.
