A lesson is taught and then practiced to stay in their short-term memory minds. Then, we take a few days to organize the content learned by drawing, labeling, and coloring Into their interactive notebooks. This is a proven hands-on approach that solidifies in their long-term memory. In addition, students stay actively engaged, motivated, and become proud of their schooling accomplishments. The interactive notebooks approach will impact their learning curve long after they graduate from middle school. It will help and serve them through high school by continually using this approach and stay organized, engaged, and on top of their content area mastery. This hands-on approach does not give students fish to eat but it teaches them how to effectively fish for life. We all want compassionate and intelligent future leaders.
