Students in our district need the ability to practice decoding skills with simple, easy to decode texts and books in order to become fluent readers. Our school has begun using the research in the Science of Reading to help our students solidify their reading ability. In order for students to develop reading fluency and reading comprehension, they must be able to decode and understand what they read. The reading program in or district have very few decodable books included to help our lower readers decode and unlock the mystery of how to read.

About my class
