I work at a full-magnet school in North Carolina. My students are bright and motivated. They are eager to learn about college; however, they have several obstacles standing in their way. Over 65% of my students are eligible for free or reduced lunch programs. Several of these students also work after school, which makes homework and reading a challenge at night.
