My junior high students are vibrant teens who hope to find both new friends and new knowledge in my classes. They come from all walks of life: from very wealthy in multi-floored homes with several cars to choose from to living paycheck-to-paycheck in a humble mobile home often with no car at all. Their skills are also varied with some students reading on a college level but others struggling at an early elementary level. The population of our school has risen quite a bit in the last few years and we are feeling the growth in higher class sizes - between 30 and 40 students per class is not uncommon.
