We are a bilingual class who are excited about reading and writing. Most of my students come from low income families. Our school is part of an inner city school district, it's a Pre-_8th grade school. My students come to school everyday eager to learn. They love to listen to a read aloud and can not wait to start writing and publishing their own stories. This year I would like to emphasize the ARTS in the classroom. Many of my students have not had the opportunity to visit a museum or experience an Art exhibition by local artists. They are very excited about the different artistic styles that different authors/illustrators use when creating a story. That is why we have decided to create our own books and illustrations to showcase at our school and share our talents with others.
