I teach kindergarten in a very low socio economic area. We currently have 100% free and reduced lunch for our school. Our students come from some extreme poverty. Many students have a parent or relative in a local prison, and it is not uncommon for students to share stories about shootings in their neighborhoods. We currently are receiving a grant so that all the students can receive fresh fruit and vegetables.

About my class
