My class sizes run about 24 students. Imagine all twenty-something students listening to a read-aloud story or completing an interactive tutorial all at different times and volumes. This creates an environment where a lot of my students cannot focus because of the background noise. Our STEM curriculum is both immersive and interactive with a lot of content coming from multimedia sources. Students are issued cheap and poorly made earbuds in the third grade that they either lose, break, or are too big for their little ears. These over-the-ear headphones can be sanitized between uses and will provide my students with a quiet learning environment when they are trying to access elements of the curriculum that require focus and attention.
