Students with significant social, emotional and behavioral disabilities are non-traditional learners. These often overlooked students thrive in an educational environment with tools that offer an interactive learning platform. Students with these disabilities are characteristically slow processors, poor decision makers and delayed in accessing effective self-management strategies. As these students enter their secondary education, without purposeful and engaging interventions the likelihood of a positive educational outcome drastically declines. Additionally, these diverse learners are members of a school community which works to support a high population of students from low socio-economic households.

About my class
