Our students are 8 and 9 year old kids from a low income community in California. Most of them cannot enjoy a nice play area in their backyards. Their space to play at home is pretty reduced. Many of our students already present symptoms of obesity, and lack the flexibility and agility they should enjoy at their age. The school playground is their best chance to exercise and practice sports. They just jump from their chairs in excitement when we announce physical education time, and they dream of having a team or winning trophies. We dream of giving them full equipment to play games, sports,form teams and enjoy victories at the same time they exercise for their health and improve their motor skills. Moreover, we know motor coordination activities and games develop strategical thinking and have a direct positive effect in learning processes. The equipment you can help us acquire will be essential for us! Thank you.
