I teach students who are classified as having mild to moderate disabilities. This can be any student with a learning disability, a behavior disorder, traumatic brain injury, and so on. They all attend a public high school in Utah, and so we are using a few resources for many students. All of my students are at least 3 years behind their peers in at least one academic area- I help with the math. They need every possible tool available to help them to fill in some of the gaps in their learning. Receiving instant feedback on their assignments has been shown to be an effective way of doing just that.
