Our school is predominantly low income, multicultural, and 15% of the student population are receiving special education services. The students come from backgrounds that instill values, and the school models respect and responsibility. Our high school students are semi-motivated to engage in fitness, and come with a variance of abilities. Many of them have hardships, are learning social skills as they go, and not very athletic in general. We have great kids that do not have a lot of opportunity to participate in extra-curricular physical activity outside of school. While this is a concern, our PE department is extremely motivated to provide exemplary opportunity for the students to enjoy physical activity, fitness, and the benefits associated with movement!

About my class
