My students are among the poorest in NYC. Over 90% qualify for free meal programs. On top of that, our school services special education students from all of the NYC districts. Our funding has been cut from the state, yet our goals and dreams for them are the same: they need to be prepared to compete in modern economy and the world at large. Our challenge as their educators is immense.
