Students at our Title 1 school come from a high poverty area and don't have much experience with science. Since the introduction of a science lab last year, all students in grades 1-5 have been given the chance to engage in a hands-on lab once a week. We have limited resources and hungry learners. Available lab supplies are mostly dated and/or cheaply made which inhibits many potential experiments for our young scientists.
