Our students are rooted in a Hispanic background and are proud of their history. We have a great mariachi program at our school, which is also developed and supported by a rich elementary music education. Students show great enthusiasm for a variety of music, dance, theater, and performing arts. Unfortunately, they also have a great need for more opportunities. Currently the stage area has been piled with storage items, and has been that way for several years. It is my goal to get this area cleared and produce an area appropriate for sharing talents, achievements and excitement for learning. Our students are learning to work together, appreciate individual and group success, and part of this accomplishment is in fact due to their increased musical and theatrical awareness. We have some truly responsible, creative, and amazingly bright young students here and giving them every opportunity to show what they can do is extremely important to their development.
