Our students are an enthusiastic, diverse group of children from a variety of different ethnicities of Hawaii. The school draws children from a large range of geographical areas that are unique to the islands topography. Students ride the bus 45 minutes, to attend our school,as they believe in our schools mission and vision, which is to learn through Volcano's unique natural and cultural resources today to become global citizens of tomorrow. Surprisingly, some families choose to catch the public bus which is an additional 90 minutes of travel to attend our school. A high percentage of students also receive free and reduced lunch.
