I have taught in urban schools for years and our high school is not any different. It is very diverse. There are over 1300 students that come from various backgrounds. The students at our school are passionate and are excited to learn in my classes. By building community and positive relationships they reveal to me what their dreams are, their struggles and what they want to do in their future. I have been able to work on building their skills, entering their work into exhibitions and help them to prepare portfolios for college applications.

About my class
