My students are extremely motivated and set high goals for themselves, despite the low-income community they come from. As students in a STEM school, many aspire to be doctors, nurses, engineers, and mathematicians. This year, however, they have faced many challenges. Their STEM school is currently under construction and the students are in a temporary location half an hour from home. They have a longer commute, and the resources at the temporary school are limited. Despite this, they come to school every day eager and ready to learn. The students are extremely positive, and rise above these these challenges and restrictions with a high level of maturity. Nevertheless, their learning is being hindered as a result. Due to their level of dedication and passion for learning, my students deserve to be given the best resources in order to enhance their education.
