Woodside High School is a public high school with grades 9 through 12 located in Newport News, Virginia. The school population is approximately 2,000 students who come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Approximately 42% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. One of the primary goals of our school is to produce students who are college, career, and citizen-ready. Part of being ready for adult life includes knowing a variety of 21st century skills. Among these skills are inquiry, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. At Woodside High School, we believe the library is the heart of the school. We strive to meet the needs of all students and staff in every way possible.
