My students love to do group, or even independent, activities that involve investigations or experiments in any subject. They enjoy the opportunities to move around and get hands-on to create or solve something. Whether it is creating a story using my LEGO Story Starter sets, trying out new apps on the ipad, or getting to form questions for the next Mystery Skype, as long they feel like a part of the activity is when they thrive. I would describe our school as supportive and encouraging. The student, staff, faculty, and parents are always willing to help one another whenever they get a chance. We do what we can in order to make sure that every child succeeds, not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well.
