My students are wonderful latino children from low income families. Many of them are not read to at home, but have shown a strong interest in being read to in the classroom. A few of my students rarely speak at all in any language, and do not seem to enjoy story time. My job is to improve their level of English so that they can participate more in activities and discussions.
