My students have been opening their minds to new digital technology in new ways every year. In my classes, we learn career specific skills and industry standard programs. Through their learning & problem solving of technology they are growing into 21st century learners and not just users of technology. Through my class they are not only learning employability skills, they are learning digital technology skills to become successful citizens in society. In our class we also have the broadcast and yearbook journalism production studios that is student lead. These projects will make a difference because, as I said before, these students are the expected to know advanced computer & technology skills but they have not had the opportunity to learn. Our classrooms and production centers are building the level of technology to meet their needs as learners. These grants will help to close that gap just a little bit more.
