My students come from all over the world, some from Nepal, some from Thailand, some from Congo, and some from Iraq. Many of them have never been in a structured classroom with a teacher who loves them and cares for their best interests. Many of these students were born in refugee camps from all over the world with parents that were self-educated. They have battled war, loss, and neglect. They are grateful to be in an environment where adults are trusted and not feared. My students have battled the worse than I can imagine and now they deserve the best that you can imagine.
