These games will help clear misconceptions for students and also give them a deeper understanding of their math content. Students who need extra support use games to help clarify things they misunderstood. The games give them a chance to "do" rather than just "see." Games give students a way to learn things at their own pace while having a good time doing so. Feeling successful is even greater when you feel like you've done it on your own. While getting the background knowledge and explicit examples from the teacher is important, children feel especially motivated when they feel like they accomplished something on their own. Games give them a way of doing that.
