This Arkansas after-school Science Club is a group composed of 50 students from grades K-6th. The program is taught by a fifth grade teacher and several other school volunteers. My purpose is to encourage my lower social-economical, language and culturally challenge students to love the field of science. These students each week arrive in my classroom excited to see what fun activity they will be doing next. This elementary school is striving to meet the needs of our students, and having after-school activities provides these students with just one more opportunity to rise above!
