I teach K1 (preschool) for a large urban school district. Many of my students are English language learners and come from low income homes. Though they face many challenges, they inspire me by coming to school eager to learn each day! My students love both listening to read alouds and telling me their own stories. However, many have not acquired enough English to fully participate in storytelling.
