I teach a wonderful group of 21 students who are passionate about learning. They come to school every day ready to learn! Our school is an elementary school located outside of New Orleans. Many of my students live in poverty with over 90% of the school receiving free/reduced price lunch. Most of my students come from homes with little to no books. However, despite this, they have a great desire to read. Many of them are not reading on grade level so the reading textbook does not appeal to all of them.
