Despite their problematic situations, my students are the sweetest and brightest students you will ever meet. Over 65% of the students live in low poverty and are considered economically disadvantaged. African-American students make up about 60% of student population, about 20% are Caucasian, and Latinos make up about 20%. My school is a small public charter school where a majority of the students are bussed in on a school bus or take public transportation.
