I have twenty-two beautiful students who are third graders from El Paso, Texas, near the border of Juarez, Mexico. Although we are economically disadvantaged in some areas, we do not let that hinder our academic performance. In my classroom we have regular and special education students. Some of the students really have some serious difficult family issues and school is their only escape to feed their mind, body and soul. Many of my students wouldn't be able to afford a musical instrument, so they would be benefit from having a recorder as their musical instrument. However, my students always put their best effort forward and strive to be the best in everything they do.
