The students come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Many are low income, but have the desire to learn when opportunities are present. This is a public school in an urban area. The students love hands-on science! I feel that as a teacher, I need to provide real world experiences to my students and one way of doing this is to dissect an owl pellet.
