My hard working and passionate students grow up in a difficult (high crime and poverty) area of East Oakland, California. They attend a phenomenal school that has increased the achievement of students dramatically over the past five years. While there are many successes to celebrate at the school, there are still countless experiences and resources that are not available to these kids that are commonplace at schools in wealthier areas.
