This project will benefit all students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade in the school. Students need new seating in the art room. The chairs in the room are older and heavy to move, especially for younger students. The art room is also shared with the music class on a rotation. The art and music teachers must move the tables and chairs several times a week to accommodate classes and utilize the space fully. The stools would make transitions between classes easier, quicker, and safer. Students will use the new stools to sit on when they attend art and music class. The stools are stationary so they have a sturdy and safe seat to be creative. Students will create art projects in the art classroom during their art class. The stools will help students to know their own personal space. They will also allow for quick cleaning between classes during the school day. Students will also sit on the same stools during music class.
