I am a kindergarten teacher with the belief that little ones can be exposed to math in tangible ways. The children that I serve have not been exposed to many concepts outside of “survival mode”. They come from extremely high need communities and homes where meeting basic needs are the priority. These children have not had the benefit of preschool, daycare or any formal training. My classroom has 13 boys and 5 girls.
