This trip will definitely be the highlight of our Year! There is nothing like a real life experience to help you understand events. This is what our students need opportunities for authentic, meaningful and engaging activities in history. Just think, the experience of a dramatic mock battle, the life of Colonial America. For 4th graders, recreating the life of early California settlers full of ambition and goals! the prospecting 49ers. Students will be able to make connections between their texts and real life of our former historical ancestors. They will learn first hand what life was like for people with dreams, their hardships and how their life shaped America and California. This field trip will connect their learning from a text to a real life presentation of what history was like during that time.
