My 35 English II students are from a high poverty area in rural Tennessee. Many of them are not exposed to high quality educational resources, like Holocaust resources, and I want to change that. Our county has a high percentage of drug usage and troubled teens. With true stories from literature, I want to inspire my students to strive for something more in their life.
