Our district was recently struck by a devastating EF-5 tornado and in one way or another my students were impacted by the devastation around them. My students are from a high poverty area that would benefit greatly from a reading area. Their choices for reading are at their desk or on the floor, which is not inviting. I want my students to become life-long readers and with a reading area that can happen.
