My students are amazing, resilient, and full of heart. I teach children with SLD, OHI, and Emotional Disorders, and every day they inspire me with their curiosity and determination. Sometimes big feelings or sensory challenges make it hard for them to focus or participate. That’s why I want to create a calming corner—a cozy, safe space where they can pause, breathe, and regain confidence. This space will help them self-regulate, build coping skills, and feel ready to learn. It will also teach empathy as classmates see and support one another. With your help, my students will have a place where they feel safe, calm, and empowered, giving them the tools to succeed academically and emotionally.
