My students are first graders in a low income school located in Virginia. English is their second language, which creates an extra challenge for them. Many of the students' parents are unable to help them with their school work, which is why it is important that they get as much exposure as they can while they are in school. Some of the students really struggle, which is why creating a differentiated learning environment is key.
