My 9th Grade students are wonderful human beings. They live in a city and in neighborhoods that pose many struggles for them. Those struggles have shaped some of the most resilient young people in the world. In addition to the struggles they face in their neighborhoods, some of my students have special learning needs. Yet, my students come to school everyday, ready to learn, ready to transform themselves and the world around them.
