To meet the new safety guidelines, my students will be seated at their desk for the majority of the day. Flexible seating will promote movement while working. This will be imperative to help students stay active while focusing on their work. Flexible seating has made a noticeable difference in student engagement in my classroom over the past two years. Each year I am amazed to see the effectiveness of flexible seating, especially with my active students. This year will be more challenging than previous years due to new safety guidelines that limit student movement. I hope the additional stools in this project will allow me to accommodate more of my students at one time.
