My students are 98% minority status at a large school in Mississippi. Many have great opportunities to impact their communities and the rest of the state and country, but have seen generational poverty and the failures of the system that was designed to educate them and provide a way out. Our students are bright and have college dreams but are unable to reach them for a number of reasons, mostly because of a lack of perspective.

About my class
