Let me share with you a little of why I want to create a limitless--technologically advanced classroom. I am a 3rd grade teacher at a Title 1 school. Most of my students are from low-income households. Many of our families want to help in anyway possible; however, few do not speak English at home. Many of my students do not have a computer at home, thus making school the only place where a variety of technologies are introduced. They do not have access to a computer unless they go to a public library or use a family member's. In the society we live in, my students cannot have a limitless classroom if they are never introduced to a variety of technologies. We are no longer in the world of typewriters and pencil/paper. We have to branch out and show our students how to live in a world where computers run our daily lives!
